From next summer, this project will be home to TERRE AZUR, a subsidiary of the group specialising in the distribution of fruit and vegetables and seafood.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Another joint project between the POMONA Group and IDEC<\/h3>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>The POMONA Group, a leading player in the distribution of food, has just renewed its confidence in IDEC to design and build its new business premises in Noyal sur Vilaine. This latest joint project underlines the strong relationship between the two companies after several successful constructions, such as the delivery of a 7500m\u00b2 warehouse in Rez\u00e9 last year and two other operations covering 17,000 m\u00b2 in Wissous (Essonne) and 5200 m\u00b2 in Valenton (Val de Marne) in 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Designed by IDEC<\/h3>\n\n\n<p>The IDEC teams worked alongside the POMONA Group from the start of the project. Based around some very detailed specifications, IDEC\u2019s in-house team took care of the overall design of the building. Among the major challenges there was the production of the refrigeration required, which is essential to guarantee that the food is stored well, and the separation into different areas of the seafood and the constraints linked to salt levels.<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6200 m\u00b2 of storage space and 1700 m\u00b2 of offices<\/h3>\n\n\n<p>This project with a total surface of 7900 m\u00b2 is based around a zone dedicated to storing food products. 2400 m\u00b2 are given over to the storage of fruit and vegetables, 2200 m\u00b2 to the bays, where the food is loaded and unloaded and 900 m\u00b2 to the seafood area. The latter is equipped with special coatings and coverings and stainless steel furniture. 700 m\u00b2 are used for the equipment areas, the charging area and and the cooling units. 1700 m\u00b2 will be home to TERRE AZUR\u2019s administrative work. A fuel station and truck washing area complete the project.<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">8 months of work<\/h3>\n\n\n<p>The construction of this project kept IDEC\u2019s building staff busy for eight months. After the first sod was turned last month, the work managers will now be in charge of the laying the pad, the foundations and then the frame.
