IDEC, leader in the design and construction of turnkey projects involving logistics, industrial and service sector premises, has just finished fitting solar sunshade panels to the OCP pharmaceutical distribution unit built by its teams in Baule (Loiret). These devices delivering 196 KWc of power will enable the equivalent of 1650 square metres of office space to make the most of solar power in this project, which stretches out over a total surface area of 48,000 m\u00b2.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n

OCP\u2019s new distribution site, the largest in Europe for this company specialising in the distribution of pharmaceutical products already has top class environmental credentials, such as HQE exceptional level certification, favouring energy saving and contributing to the well-being of the future users. Likewise, the firm relied on IDEC\u2019s teams to carry out the studies and installation of this solar power solution.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The specialists at the R&D unit at IDEC accompanied by their partner, URBASOLAR firstly carried out the required surveys to find the most suitable technical solution. They quickly looked at solar panels, which did not have any effect on the environmental protection rules associated with the site. After determining the size and location of the installation, the two companies took care of setting up this source of green energy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Annual production of 205 MWh<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The five solar sunshade panels fitted on a surface covering 81 parking spaces will when connected supply 205 MWh of electricity each year, which is equivalent ot the consumption of 72 homes. This production will allow an equivalent to the 1650 square metres of office space in this project to be supplied with energy. The whole of the energy produced will be sent to the low voltage switchboard in the building to be directly used in various areas (offices, cold rooms, industrial process).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Installing these sunshades will of course enable OCP to limit its consumption of fossil fuels and add to the comfort of the workers, who will be able to park their cars in the shade and out of the rain.
