IDEC, leader in the design and construction of turnkey projects involving logistics, industrial and service sector properties has just signed an agreement with the Gaudier Brzeska School in Orléans. By signing this agreement, the two parties want to strengthen the relationship between students and the business world with various measures being put in place.
Encouraging links between schools and the business
The Head of the Gaudier-Brzeska school, Joël LAMOUREUX and the managing director of IDEC, Tony MORAIS signed an agreement on Friday 25th May confirming their desire to strengthen the links between the two parties and to train new talent who may wish to join the ranks of IDEC in the future. “We really want to step up training within IDEC with this partnership being put in place to look ahead and prepare for the development of our firm,” explained Tony MORAIS. This partnership also aims to encourage an exchange about such experiences between the students at the school, who are following a course focusing on the building sector, and the IDEC work teams, who each day continue to build 1000 to 200,000 square metre construction projects.
Concrete measures
With the signature of this agreement, a number of joint measures are being set up to immerse the students at the Gaudier-Brzeska school into the world of building work. “With our various jobs linked to the construction sector, (surveys, architecture, building work, the environment and BIM), we wish to share our projects and experiences with visits to building sites, presentations on special themes as well as being on juries” added the Managing Director of IDEC. There was already a first idea around this desire to establish a link between theory and practice before the signature of this agreement with the presentation of the jobs that involve BIM at IDEC in front of 80 students from the school last April.
