IDEC is working with ARGAN to build a new logistics platform in Saint-Jean-de-la-Neuville (76). Interview with Adrien, IDEC Works Supervisor in charge of this project, who gives a progress report on the construction of this facility and details his daily tasks in coordinating the workers on site and ensuring the client’s satisfaction.
Adrien has been working for IDEC for 6 years. After several projects in the South of France, he was off to Normandy. “I am responsible for the smooth running of this project.I coordinate the work with all our partner companies and ensure that it is carried out properly.I also oversee site planning, technical compliance and financial management.I am on site four days a week and I regularly liaise with our client in order to provide them with a technical response regarding the execution of their project”.

ARGAN, a developer of premium logistics projects, has renewed its faith in IDEC to build a new facility between Rouen and Le Havre, which will eventually host DIDACTIC. “This company specializes in disposable medical devices” explains Adrien, IDEC Works Supervisor in charge of the construction work on this project. “It will be spread over a surface area of 13,600 m² and will include 1,300 m² of offices and 12,000 m² of storage space”.

The construction phase of this project was launched at the end of last year. “We are currently working on finalizing the concrete structure of the project” says Adrien. “We will begin installing the steel framework for the offices before the end of the month.At the same time, roofing is scheduled to begin in the next few days” adds IDEC’s Head of Operations. “As soon as work begins on the interior fittings, we will endeavor to adapt the progress of the site to DIDACTIC’s requirements, to facilitate the installation of its process. In any case, we are targeting overall delivery of the project by the end of the first half of 2022”.

Over the past few years, IDEC has made a name for itself in the design and turnkey construction of sustainable, certified logistics projects. This new logistics platform fits in naturally with this approach, and is endorsed by ARGAN. “The project is aiming for BREEAM Very Good certification, through a series of measures designed to limit its impact on the environment and biodiversity.It will also incorporate a rooftop installation with the capacity to generate green, carbon-free energy”.
