IDEC, a subsidiary of the IDEC Group, leader in the design and construction of turnkey projects involving logistics, industrial and service sector premises completed work at the end of last year on a 48,000 m² distribution site for OCP in Baule (Loiret). Built in just nine months, the new distribution platform built in Baule represents a new step in the development of OCP. This project, the largest in Europe for this major player in the distribution of medicines, will enable it to cut its supply time to those involved in the sector thanks to the automated lines.
9 months of work
This operation including seven units and 2600 m² of offices required a lot of hard work from the IDEC teams during the nine month construction period. That included careful management of the firms involved in the project with in particular, the installation of automated lines managed at the same time as the building was erected.
Exceptional level environmental certification
This new distribution site built by the IDEC teams has been awarded Exceptional level environmental certification rewarding all the hard work done to achieve the fourteen targets included in the determination of the performance level of the project. Criteria involving environmentally friendly construction and management and the inclusion of comfort and the impact on the health of the occupants were all taken into account. The OCP building has been awarded three stars out of four in the energy section, 4 stars for the environment and three stars for health and comfort.
