MOHAWK'S Frépillon

IDEC Launches Construction of a New Facility for MOHAWK’S in Frépillon (Val-d’Oise, France)

IDEC is supporting MOHAWK’S in the construction of a new bicycle assembly facility in Frépillon, in the Val-d’Oise department of France. With a total floor area of 2,200 sq m, this project demonstrates IDEC’s ability to deliver tailor-made developments on a human scale, designed to meet the specific needs of its clients. The project also incorporates a rooftop photovoltaic installation, reinforcing its sustainable approach.

MOHAWK’S, A SPECIALIST IN HIGH-END BICYCLES

MOHAWK’S is a company specialising in the import, distribution and assembly of premium bicycles. In response to its growing business activity, the company has chosen to invest in its own facility in order to enhance operational flexibility and streamline its processes.

MOHAWK’S entrusted this project to IDEC and its dedicated teams specialising in small and medium-sized developments, recognised for their expertise in designing and delivering bespoke industrial facilities.

A 2,200 SQ M BICYCLE ASSEMBLY FACILITY

Designed by VICTOR Architectes, the new 2,200 sq m facility will bring together several functional areas.

A 1,300 sq m production area will accommodate bicycle and wheel assembly operations, as well as a dedicated paint booth for bicycle frames. In addition, 900 sq m of office space will centralise the company’s administrative and commercial activities. The development will also include a 30-space parking area.

A TURNKEY DELIVERY APPROACH

For this project, IDEC’s Small-Scale Projects Division is providing MOHAWK’S with comprehensive turnkey support, managing all construction activities from start to finish.

The development also incorporates a strong sustainability component through the installation of a rooftop photovoltaic power plant. With an installed capacity of 120 kWp, the system will generate approximately 120 MWh of renewable electricity annually. This represents the equivalent annual energy consumption of 26 households and will help avoid the emission of 40 tonnes of CO₂ over a 20-year period.

A NINE-MONTH CONSTRUCTION PROGRAMME

Construction works commenced in November 2024 with the earthworks phase, scheduled for completion in January 2025. Structural works will continue through February, followed by the installation of the steel frame structure.

Following a nine-month construction programme, the facility is scheduled for completion and handover in August 2025.

The project includes several technically demanding phases and will feature bespoke fit-out solutions specifically designed to accommodate MOHAWK’S operational requirements.
