IDEC, leader in the design and construction of turnkey projects involving logistics, industrial and service sector properties, recently opened the doors to the building site for France’s largest logistics project to students from the GAUDIER BRZESKA technical college in Orleans. This visit continues the measures taken by IDEC to help youngsters discover its business activities.
From theory to practice
Thanks to the special relationship established with several high school establishments, IDEC once again invited around thirty students to come and visit one of its building sites. This latest event underlines the company’s desire to bring students close to the world of work with various measures put in place, such as projects based on concrete examples during their training, and the presence of staff from IDEC on examination panels and visits to building sites.
A visit to the construction site for a 200,000 m² warehouse
The IDEC teams invited 28 students from the GAUDIER BRZESKA technical college in Orleans for half a day after the signing of a partnership agreement last May. The youngsters were able to discover the construction site for CONFORAMA’s future warehouse, which is currently being built in Tournan-en-Brie (Seine et Marne). The visit was divided up according to the specialisation of each of the students and allowed them to find out more from the IDEC teams about all the details of what is an exceptional building project.
Join a team of enthusiasts
Each year, IDEC welcomes trainees and sandwich course students to its building sites or to its administrative and technical centres. The tasks on offer require students to be independent and ready to learn. These qualities enable the students to dive into work situations close to those they will encounter once qualified. These experiences are real springboards for the students and enable them to enter the world of work in the best possible conditions.
