IDEC, leader in the design and construction of turnkey projects involving logistics, industrial and service sector properties, is building a new project for CARREFOUR in Aulnay-sous-Bois (Seine Saint Denis). The construction of this 63,000 m² dry warehouse has already begun and is due to be handed over in February 2019.
Another major project for CARREFOUR
CARREFOUR, leading player in the retail sector has once again entrusted the teams at IDEC with the construction of a logistics platform in Aulnay-sous-Bois. The construction of this project on the brown field site left behind by PSA follows on from several other projects carried out between the retailer and IDEC with in particular the delivery over the past few years of warehouses in Bourges, Savigny-sur-Clairis, Bâgé-la-Ville and Moncel-les-Luneville.
63,000 m² of dry storage
This latest logistics platform aimed at dealing with part of the logistics work for CARREFOUR is based around ten dry units. One of them will be specially treated to store sensitive products, while another remains open to the outside with a 8.5m canopy attached to the frame. To finish, there is a 1500 m² office block, a charging area and a maintenance area in this project, which is almost 500 metres long and 125 metres wide.
Very good standard BREEAM certification
Thanks to various measures encouraging energy saving and the comfort of the future occupants, IDEC is aiming for Very good standard BREEAM certification for this project. The warehouse will be fitted with Full LED lighting both in the storage area and in the offices. The best insulation is being used and a rainwater recovery system put in place to supply water to the toilets. Almost 1000 m² of open framework encourages the use of natural light in the units and the painted pillars and walls ensure the well-being and comfort of the company’s future workers.
Ten and a half months of work
The construction of this 63,000 m² project has already begun. It will take ten and a half months of work to erect this project. The three units will be made available by the end of the year to enable CARREFOUR to install storage racks. This first handover will rapidly be followed by other buildings being made available with two units completed every fortnight. The final handover of this new dry warehouse is scheduled for February 2019.
