IDEC, the designer and builder of logistics platforms and all sorts of business property has just started work on the new project developed by PROLOGIS in Moissy Cramayel (Seine-et-Marne) for the retail brand, CULTURA. This work officially began with the foundation stone being laid in the presence of local dignitaries, and staff from PROLOGIS, CULTURA and the IDEC teams, who will be in charge of this new project.
IDEC is about to start work on a new 56,000 sq.m logistics platform near Paris. Developed by PROLOGIS, this logistics warehouse will become home to CULTURA, which is building up its e-commerce business and bringing together its activities in the heart of the logistics hub in Moissy Cramayel.
The launch of this operation was celebrated with the laying of the foundation stone, and a ceremony marking the start of work. At this event, PROLOGIS, the project promoter presented Eegle, a new digital tool aimed at ensuring the technical management of the building. At the same time, IDEC took advantage of the e-brochure developed by its teams to allow the guests to plunge into CULTURA’s future logistics hub. Thanks to 3D glasses or using their smartphones via a QR code, the guests were able to discover interactive views of the new offices, a unit and an aerial view of the building. The BIM is the basis of the work being done to find the best way of managing the new buildings, as Tony Morais, Managing Director of IDEC explains. “IDEC wants to develop BIM for the maintenance the buildings and to improve their energy efficiency.”
This latest 56,000 sq.m logistics warehouse project will require eight months of work. IDEC will therefore be carrying out a second operation in this sector of Moissy Cramayel after handing over the keys early this year for another 100,000 sq.m platform for PROLOGIS.
