IDEC and GARBE Industrial Real Estate France recently brought together local elected officials, partners and companies involved in the project for a friendly site visit in Pléchâtel (Ille-et-Vilaine). The event provided an opportunity to highlight the progress of this 27,000 sq m logistics platform while reaffirming the shared ambitions of the stakeholders regarding sustainable development.
A symbolic site visit
As part of the construction of a logistics platform in Pléchâtel, IDEC, acting as the project’s general contractor, and GARBE Industrial Real Estate France, the investor and developer, invited all stakeholders to visit the site.
This meeting provided an opportunity to present the project, its progress and the key milestones ahead. Representatives of local authorities, technical partners and project teams were able to exchange views in a friendly atmosphere, punctuated by speeches and an outdoor cocktail reception under the Breton sunshine.
A 27,000 sq m logistics platform
The project developed by GARBE Industrial Real Estate France is taking shape around a 27,000 sq m logistics building.
The facility includes several warehouse units, technical areas and office spaces. Designed to accommodate one or several companies depending on their requirements, the platform aims to provide a high-performance and flexible logistics solution.
Delivery is scheduled for the second half of 2025, with early handovers planned to allow the installation of storage equipment.
An environmentally responsible project
This development, which is targeting BREEAM Excellent certification, is part of a strong environmental approach.
Environmentally responsible materials, carefully designed landscaping, measures to improve indoor air quality for future occupants, a heat pump system and solar panels installed across 100% of the roof area by ENR Solar by GROUPE IDEC are among the solutions implemented to reduce the environmental footprint of the platform.
