On 23 October 2025, IDEC laid the foundation stone for MILEWAY’s last-mile logistics project in Wissous (Essonne), officially marking the start of the construction works. Designed to meet the challenges of proximity logistics and fast deliveries, this facility is part of the sustained growth of the e-commerce market. Located within a business park of more than 30 hectares, developed by GROUPE IDEC and its subsidiary FAUBOURG PROMOTION, the project began last June with the initial earthworks and infrastructure works.
MILEWAY: a key player in last-mile logistics
As the European leader in last-mile logistics real estate, MILEWAY develops high-performance real estate solutions designed to meet the growing demands of last-mile logistics, driven by the rapid expansion of e-commerce and increasing expectations for fast delivery services.
As part of this strategy, MILEWAY has launched a new project in Wissous to provide modern and functional business units dedicated to last-mile logistics activities.
The synergy of GROUPE IDEC serving MILEWAY
MILEWAY’s establishment in Wissous is the result of the combined expertise of several GROUPE IDEC subsidiaries.
Before entrusting IDEC with the turnkey construction of the project, MILEWAY selected the Parc du Haut de Wissous 2 for the development of its future distribution activities. This business and logistics park, covering more than 30 hectares, was developed by FAUBOURG PROMOTION, GROUPE IDEC’s specialist in commercial real estate development.
A 9,500 sq m project with an attractive architectural design
Designed by Agence FRANC, the project will stand out through its contemporary and high-quality architecture, combining light grey ribbed cladding, anthracite flat cladding and wood-effect façade elements incorporating climbing vegetation.
Covering a total surface area of 9,500 sq m, the development will comprise two independent buildings combining business space and office mezzanines.
Building A will provide 5,615 sq m, including 4,448 sq m of business space and 1,167 sq m of office accommodation, while Building B will total 3,885 sq m, comprising 2,762 sq m of business space and 1,123 sq m of offices.
Each unit will be equipped with a ground-level access door suitable for light commercial vehicles, while three units will also be fitted with heavy goods vehicle loading docks.
A strong environmental ambition
Targeting BREEAM Excellent certification, the project demonstrates its environmental ambitions through 30% landscaped green areas, rigorous monitoring of energy consumption and waste management, as well as a Building Management System (BMS) designed to optimise the operation of the facility.
Delivery scheduled for February 2026
The teams are currently completing the installation of the structural frame in preparation for the roofing and cladding works, which are scheduled to begin at the start of November.
Construction started in mid-June 2025 and will span approximately eight months, with final delivery scheduled for the first quarter of 2026.
