IDEC, which specialises in the design and construction of logistics platforms and all sorts of business property has built the structure of the first unit of a new warehouse in Moissy Cramayel. This 56,000 m² project developed by Prologis will be home to Cultura in the late spring of 2018.
Almost a month after the ceremony for the laying of the first stone marking the start of work, the IDEC teams in charge of the construction of this new logistics platform monitored the installation of the concrete framework of the first unit. This stage is the first in such a building project involving the landscaping, earth moving and the laying of the foundations.
Seven months of work
Developed by PROLOGIS, this new 56,000m² logistics platform, which includes 2800 m² of office space, will be home to the French entertainment retailer after seven months of work. This project is part of the development of the company’s online business.
A project developed using BIM
As is the case for most of its recent projects, IDEC used digital modelling from the birth of the project to facilitate the construction and maintenance and use of the building, as Tony MORAIS, General Director of IDEC explains. “The use of BIM in this project will enable us to work alongside our client on the development of his Eegle software and therefore we will be able to be directly involved in monitoring the energy used in this project.”
The second major building project for IDEC in Moissy Cramayel
This latest operation by IDEC marks the continuation of its relationship with PROLOGIS in Moissy Cramayel after the completion of the first 70,000m² warehouse last year for ACTION.
