GOODMAN RELYING ON IDEC TO BUILD A 37,000 M² LOGISTICS WAREHOUSE IN LAMBRES-LEZ-DOUAI (NORD)

IDEC, leader in the design and construction of turnkey projects involving logistics, industrial and service sector premises, has just started work on a new project in the North of France. This 37,000 m² project developed by GOODMAN in Lambres-lez-Douai (Nord) will be handed over in December.

More than 35,000 m² of storage facilities

GOODMAN, investor and developer specialising in logistics premises, has just started to develop a new business park 25 miles to the south of Lille. The fiirm has called upon the IDEC teams to erect one of the buildings over a surface of 37,000 m², including 35,700 m² dedicated to dry storage. This logistics unit developed by GOODMAN will in the end offer two additional buildings measuring 25,000 m² and 96,000 m², all of which are located in the heart of a 35-hectare plot.

Eight and a half months of work

The IDEC building teams are currently busy starting work on building the platform, which will be home to these premises. A lot of work will then be done to erect almost 5000 rigid pillars. In all, it will take eight and a half months to erect this 37,000 m² project, with 35,700 m² of storage facilities in the heart of six dry units. 1200 m² of office space, staff rooms, a technical and charging area will complete this project, the keys of which are due to be handed over to GOODMAN just before the end of the year.

BREEAM Good level certification

Thanks to its know-how having certified more than 1.2 million m² in its projects, IDEC will once again be working alongside its client on the construction of a sustainable project. This new logistics platform is aiming to obtain Breeam Good level certification thanks to a set of measures put in place, including Full LED lighting in the storage units and offices. Careful thought will be given from the birth of the project to ensure the management of rainwater with drainage over the whole plot.

More work between GOODMAN and IDEC

The start of this new project by the IDEC teams for GOODMAN underlines once again the mutual trust between the two companies. The construction of this logistics warehouse follows on from other joint construction projects around France, and just a few weeks away from the handover of another major project: a 70,000 m² platform being finalised in Bourges for CARREFOUR.
