FAUBOURG PROMOTION, in a joint development with GROUP LIFE, started work on 24th April on a new logistics base and new headquarters for SAMADA with a total surface area of 53,000 m2 in the Haut de Wissous 2 Park in Wissous (Essonne). The construction of the project was awarded to IDEC, a subsidiary of the IDEC Group, which is well known as a designer-builder of turnkey business projects for the logistics sector.
As logistics specialist for the Monoprix Group, the search for a site close to Paris and major strategic routes was of course a key factor. SAMADA wanted to bring its logistics business together at one site and set up new headquarters creating 350 jobs.
The developers and planners for the Haut de Wissous 2 Park, FAUBOURG PROMOTION and GROUP LIFE managed to find the perfect location with the required amount of land and to develop a quality programme. The project includes a controlled temperature warehouse, a dry warehouse and the headquarters, all on a total surface of 53,000 m². An application for Breeam Very Good certification for this building has been made to allow cost reductions during the use and to ensure a long life for the building.
