Construction of PLG’s new distribution centre in Mignières, in the Eure-et-Loir department of France, is entering its final phase. Developed by FAUBOURG PROMOTION and delivered by IDEC, this 25,000 sq m project reflects a shared commitment to high-performance and sustainable logistics solutions designed to support the client’s long-term growth strategy.
A NEW DISTRIBUTION CENTRE FOR PLG (BUNZL GROUP)
PLG, a leading distributor of hygiene and cleaning products, is part of the BUNZL Group, the world’s leading distribution and services company. The Mignières project forms part of the group’s strategy to modernise and expand its logistics capabilities.
Designed to optimise operational flows and improve supply chain efficiency, this future distribution centre will support PLG’s ambitions in terms of both operational performance and sustainable development.
A 25,000 SQ M PROJECT SUPPORTING THE ENERGY TRANSITION
The development covers a total floor area of 25,000 sq m, including modern warehouse facilities and office accommodation dedicated to administrative and support functions.
The project is targeting BREEAM Very Good certification and the BiodiverCity label, reflecting its low environmental impact and strong commitment to biodiversity integration.
A rooftop photovoltaic power plant will also be installed, generating approximately 1,436 MWh of renewable electricity per year, equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 666 households.
ENTERING THE FINAL STAGES OF CONSTRUCTION
Construction commenced in March 2024 and is progressing according to schedule.
A first 6,000 sq m warehouse unit has already been handed over, enabling the operator to begin the installation of storage racking systems. Two additional units will be made available in the coming weeks, with final project completion scheduled for February 2025.
From the earliest design stages, the development was conceived with future growth in mind and includes the possibility of a 12,000 sq m extension.
